I don’t know about you, but sometimes I’ll see a fashion trend and I’ll question if I really want to hop on the trend of it’s just overexposure. While I work in communications and marketing, I’m still a sucker for a good social media marketing strategy. Among the many luxury fashion brands none is more well known for its aggressive social media influencer strategy than the iconic French fashion house Louis Vuitton. Chances are if you’re reading this blog it’s because you too might be interested in the hype or in the fantasy of owning a Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires. After perusing dozens of unboxing videos and fashion blogs on this trendy Louis Vuitton bag, I knew I needed to invest in this Louis Vuitton cross-body bag. For me, I believe that purchasing luxury fashion is an investment. If you take care of your small leather goods, designer bags, or luxury wardrobe, then should you need some cash your closet could be a gold mine. Research is always important when trying to buy and also resell luxury fashion accessories and goods. With all that in mind, let’s get back to what we’re all here for, my first impression and honest review of the Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires. First Impression & Honest Review of the Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette AccessoiresThe Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires bag is not easy to come by and it is far from affordable trying to buy preloved. This iteration of Louis Vuitton’s original Pochette bag, created in 1992, was released in late 2019. For Louis Vuitton Instagram bloggers and influencers on their PR list, this bag showcased both fashion and function. The bag comes with a multi-use strap in a khaki green and blush pink color. The real bang for your buck upon its release was the Multi Pochette Accessoires combination of 3 SLGs: a round coin purse, larger pochette, and smaller pochette. When Louis Vuitton first released this bag, it was priced at roughly $1,150. Before preorders came out the bag went up almost a hundred dollars. Before Louis Vuitton had its price increase this summer, the bag steadily crept up in price. Around April 2020, I became serious in my commitment to save up for the Multi Pochette Accessoires. As I stalked the Louis Vuitton website, I noticed two things; the bag was always out of stock and the price grew a few hundred dollars every few months. The latest listing for this bag was $1,860. This same bag that flooded social media and was called just another fading trend by fashion bloggers remains a tour de force in our summer 2020 fashion. WHY I GOT THE LV MULTI POCHETTE ACCESSOIRESEven though the price kept creeping up I still couldn’t find another designer bag that spoke to me the same way the Multi Pochette Accessoires did. I even bought a Prada Nylon Re-Edition 2000 Shoulder Bag to see if I could forget about one of the year’s most-wanted fashion items. With a heavy heart I returned the Prada bag. Don’t get me wrong Prada’s nylon cross-body was luxurious. But a main reason the LV cross-body was at the top of my list is because of my collection of mostly gold hardware and a growing neutral style. Along with the aesthetic details above, another reason I wanted this bag was because of what its significance as a piece of fashion history meant to me. I have always loved fashion, to read more about my love for luxury fashion read one of my latest posts here. When I graduated from college my dad gifted me a Louis Vuitton card holder. The LV card holder is exquisite, and it had the added touch of my monogrammed initials. Between celebrating a year outside of college and at my first job, this bag came into focus at a special time in my life. From the actual design of the bag - a cross-body iteration of a classic bag – and it’s timing, that is why I got the sold-out Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires. HOW I GOT THE SOLD-OUT LV CROSS-BODY MULTI POCHETTEWe know the bag costs some major coin, and we know it’s one of the hardest Louis Vuitton items to buy, here’s how I managed to purchase one. As a frequent visitor to the Louis Vuitton on Rodeo Drive, I have a Sales Associate I felt comfortable in contacting. He told me the same thing any SA will say, “Sorry, it’s sold out.” I said okay and he followed up with, “But can I add you to the waiting list?” If my year’s in college taught me anything - it’s that there’s no waitlist I cannot get on top of. I told my Louis Vuitton SA, “No thanks.” I stuck with my gut; I knew this bag was out there. Yes, this LV cross-body bag exists on the preloved market. However, the bag is priced up nearly $500-$700 dollars anywhere you go. And this price up in the bag is assuming they have it in stock. I’ve never bought preloved luxury fashion, and I knew this would not be the time I started. Through stalking the Louis Vuitton website I finally saw a chance to buy the Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires. Many of Louis Vuitton most popular bags end up in the LV World Tour collection. This is where classic pieces like the Louis Vuitton Keepall, or modern classics like this LV cross-body, are made-to-order with custom monograms and detailing. I found the Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette cross-body in this collection. The price for the LV World Tour version of the Multi Pochette was above $1,860, but it was still a better deal than buying it resold. Also, remember that this is luxury fashion and things just don’t come back into stock. If you know, you know. After waiting 8 weeks and almost forgetting about it, my custom LV Multi Pochette Accessoires came in the mail. I added my initials to the bag, paying homage to my first LV gift. At the time of buying the bag I also wrote a note to myself. The note said, “William you earned this – stay creative and stay inspired.” Needless to say, the little details in this bag and in my journey to get it made it all the more special.
